The Gjøa is reunited with its original engine

One of the biggest jewels in our museum - the Gjøa, is slowly coming together as she originally was in 1903 when Roald Amundsen set out to find the Northwest passage. Thanks to Hardanger Fartøyvernsenter she is being carefully restored and now, thanks to our friends and neighbors at the Norwegian Maritime Museum, the original DAN engine is back.
