How could an unknown man from poor Norway end up as the greatest polar explorer in history? This is the story of the polar explorer Roald Amundsen.
If necessary he lied and deceived the one´s closest to him to achieve his goals, and while he succeeded professionally, the consequence was that he paid a high price as a human being. Roald Amundsen´s greatest support for more than twenty years was his brother, Leon, who always stood in Roald´s shadow. When Roald went too far it was his brother who had to pay the bills. Still, Leon was anulled in Roald´s own biography and died without recognition. Through the movies about Roald, Leon´s story will also be told and put in context.
