Tour operators
Bringing groups to the Fram Museum? We have gathered what tour operators and the travel industry need to know on one page.
Accessibility
A person with a certified disability pays the normal entrance fee, but their companion has free entrance.
The museum is largely wheelchair accessible, but it is not possible to go below deck. We have regular lifts in both buildings, and a wheelchair lift down to Gjøa for non-electric wheelchairs. For electric wheelchairs, a back door to Gjøa can be opened.
We have one adult wheelchair and one children’s wheelchair available.
Location
The museum is located at Bygdøy, just outside the centre of Oslo, and is easily reached by bus no. 30 from the city centre, or by city bike or regular bicycle. There are also boats all year round from the City Hall, pier no. 3. See the timetables for bus and boat.
Our closest neighbours are the Kon-Tiki Museum and the Norwegian Maritime Museum. The Viking Ship Museum and the Norwegian Folk Museum are about a fifteen-minute walk away.

The museum’s foremost exhibit is, as our name indicates, the polar ship Fram. Visitors are free to go on board and below deck to see the cabins, the cargo hold, the galley, the engine room and the saloons.
