Each year The Fram Museum organizes the annual Roald Amundsen Memorial Lectures.
The Memorial Lectures are held during the first weekend of December. They commemorate the life and achievements of Roald Amundsen. Traditionally, a new temporary exhibit is opened, newly published books are presented, and top lecturers from Norway and abroad will give lectures on polar topics. This is typically followed by the recreation of an historical dinner, with the same speeches held and the same 8- or 9-coarse menu served.
