The Roald Amundsen Memorial Lectures are held each year at the Fram Museum during the first weekend of December
This year’s event was a big success with lots of our friends arriving from near and far to take part. The lectures were initiated with the opening of a new exhibition and book launch; Into The Mists: S.A. Andrée’s Balloon Expedition Towards the North Pole, and were followed by the recreation of a 9 course dinner held at the Royal Palace in Oslo in 1912 in honor of Roald Amundsen.

The exhibition was opened by Swedens ambassador to Norway Krister Bringéus who collected a lot of applause for his speech
